Wedding Colors

I have finally decided on the colors for the wedding. Chris said he wanted to do red and blue, but those didn't really work for me so I went with what I liked, imagine that. Sunday afternoon after the engagement party I took some of the bridesmaids up to David's Bridal to pick out the bridesmaid dresses. It was tough to find a dress that looked good on everyone so we decided to pick three and then have each girl decide which one looks best on her. I didn't want every girl to look exactly the same as most brides do so with three different dresses they can all pick one that is closest to what suits their individual personality. I am so excited to have these girls in my wedding. They are all beautiful and so special to me in their own way and I couldn't imagine not having them stand next to me on the most important day of my life! I am posting an inspiration board of all the things I like with the colors of the wedding.

Update

After a lot of thinking and debating, I decided to add another bridesmaid. It will make the numbers uneven but it will all work itself out. I was thinking for awhile about one of my friends and old roomies from the good 'ole campus quad days and decided the wedding would just not be the same without her in it. So my newest and final bridesmaid, LEAH HILL!

Engagement Pictures

We went down to the beach this weekend and attempted to take some fun engagement pictures during the sunset. It was a little stormy so we couldn't see much of the beautiful sunset, but I figured I would post some of the pictures anyway.

Ashley Fendall, another bridesmaid. We met when we were 8 years old when we were on the same softball team which my dad coached and we had on the same black suede jacket with fringe on it.

And last, but not least, is my friend Christi Golden. We met in 11th grade when she moved to Fayetteville from Alabama. We have had so many funny times together and a lot of fun.

The Ring

I also wanted to post a picture of my gorgeous ring!! It is stunning. Chris did such a wonderful job and I love it!

Venue

Today we are heading over to the Whitlock Inn with our parents to show them the venue we have chosen. It's a bed and breakfast in Marietta, GA right off the Marietta square. We chose Marietta because it is almost halfway for both families. (I am from Fayetteville and Chris is from Dalton) This place is exactly what I was looking for my wedding. It's a big white house and has the southern feel I am looking for. I am excited to find the perfect venue and can finally start planning everything else. Hopefully the parents will love it too!
